cooking tips

Learning French cooking is always a bit daunting and one of the common question I get always from students is where should I start? the logical answer to that would be to start making simple recipes of course. But of course in French cooking nothing is ever straightforward and before making recipe the cooking tips I always give everyone is to concentrate on learning the basics first. that mean starting by the beginning with simple things such as knowing your pantry items and ingredients, dairy products meat and vegetables All of those things that are commonly used in French cooking. Because really, this is where it all start. Simple trivial things such dressing a salad using the right oils, vinegar, know how to make a mayonnaise or French dressing from scratch etc… There are of course plenty of other things to learn about pot and pans . knives and more. so the best really is to either use culinary books or by enrolling in a French cooking course for beginners.

in this video I answering some of the questions i get during my classes as well as sharing some cooking tips that I think you should know. Starting with French cooking is never easy but the one you should never do is to skip learning the basics. Having a good knowledge of product and ingredients as well as culinary theories and techniques will help you go faster and further with your cooking. If you ever want to become a great cook, then these must be learned before you even start making recipes. Always keep that in mind.
